This song from Goo Goo Dolls is called "Rebel Beat" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

The Goo Goo Dolls is an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, by guitarist and vocalist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac.[1] Since the end of 1994, Mike Malinin has been the band's drummer, a position previously held by George Tutuska. Although renowned for their commercially successful 1998 single "Iris", they have had several other notable and popular singles including "Name" from 1995's A Boy Named Goo, "Broadway", "Black Balloon" and "Slide" from 1998's Dizzy Up The Girl, an album which produced five successful singles, and "Here Is Gone", "Sympathy" and "Big Machine" from 2002's Gutterflower. The Goo Goo Dolls have had 14 top ten singles on various charts,[2] and have sold more than ten million albums worldwide.

In October 2012, "Iris" was ranked #1 on Billboard's "Top 100 Pop Songs 1992-2012" chart, which also featured Goo Goo Dolls hits "Slide", ranking at #9, and "Name" at #24. The Goo Goo Dolls are the only musicians to have three songs chart on the list. Their biggest hit, "Iris", from the City of Angels soundtrack, spent nearly 12 straight months on the Billboard charts and held the number one position on the Hot 100 Airplay chart for 18 weeks. The first single from their 2010 album, Something for the Rest of Us, "Home", extended the band's record to 14 top ten hits at the hot AC radio format (more than any other artist in the history of that format).[3] The band's next album, Magnetic, is set for release on June 11, 2013.[4]

"Rebel Beat" is the title of a song recorded by American alternative rock band the Goo Goo Dolls to be included on their next, tenth studio album titled Magnetic. "Rebel Beat" was premiered on several US radio stations on January 18, 2013. The song was officially released on February 19, 2013.[1]

In an interview with Billboard.com, Rzeznik explains Rebel Beat is a collaboration with Gregg Wattenberg, built from a rhythm idea. "I was playing this great old guitar that had kind of a (Led) Zeppelin tone to it," Rzeznik recalls. "I started playing this real sort of basic kind of riff, and we just went form there and then started burbling out lyrics." The final lyrics, Rzeznik says, were inspired by being in New York and walking around the Little Italy and Chinatown districts. "They had this street closed off and a huge party going on," he remembers. "I was thinking, 'I love this! I want to be part of this!' So basically it turned out to be a song about celebrating everything and (saying) no matter what, you've got to have fun. That's really it."[2]

We keep heading in the same direction.
You've become my own reflection.
Is that your soul that you're trying to protect?
I always hoped that we would intersect, yeah.

You need time to cope and time to heal,
Time to cry if it's what you feel.
Life can hurt when it gets too real.
I can hold you up when it's hard to deal.

Alive, alive,
Alive is all I wanna feel.
Tonight, tonight
I need to be where you are,
I need to be where you are.

Hey you, look around!
Can you hear that noise? It's a rebel sound.
We got nowhere else to go.
And when the sun goes down, and we fill the streets,
You're gonna dance 'til the morning to the rebel's beat.
You can take everything from me
'Cause this is all I need.

You know that life is like a ticking clock:
Nobody knows when it's gonna stop, yeah.
Before I'm gone I need to touch someone
With a word, with a kiss, with a decent song, yeah.

And it gets lonely when you live out loud,
When the truth that you seek isn't in this crowd.
You better find your voice, better make it loud.
We've gotta burn that fire or we'll just burn out.

You can take everything from me, oh, yeah.
You can take everything from me
'Cause this is all I need.

We are free tonight,
And everything's alright.
Put your arms around me,
Baby, show me how to move you.

'Cause there's no worries, there's no cares.
Feel the sound that's everywhere.
We'll take what's ours for once,
And, baby, run like hell.

Hey, you, look around!
Can you hear that noise? It's a rebel sound.
We got nowhere else to go.

Hey you, look around!
Can you hear that noise? It's a rebel sound.
We got nowhere else to go.
And when the sun goes down, and we fill the streets,
You're gonna dance 'til the morning to the rebel's beat.
You can take everything from me, oh, yeah.
You can take everything from me
'Cause this is all I need.
Yeah, this is all I need

This song from White Town is called "Your Woman" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

White Town is a British musical act and is the work of one man, Jyoti Prakash Mishra.[2]

"Your Woman" is a song by British one-man band White Town. It was released in January 1997 as the lead single from the album, Women in Technology. It features a muted trumpet line taken from "My Woman" by Al Bowlly and it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in 1997. It also hit number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Your Woman" also peaked at number 26 on the dance charts.[1]

The artist has reported that the lyrics could stem from or be related to multiple situations. He says "When I wrote it, I was trying to write a pop song that had more than one perspective. Although it’s written in the first person the character behind that viewpoint isn’t necessarily what the casual listener would expect".[2] The lyrics could mean "Being a member of an orthodox Trotskyist / Marxist movement. Being a straight guy in love with a lesbian. Being a gay guy in love with a straight man. Being a straight girl in love with a lying, two-timing, fake-ass Marxist. The hypocrisy that results when love and lust get mixed up with highbrow ideals."[2] Many listeners also likened the song to a breakup letter, where the man reading the breakup letter imitates the woman's voice.[2]

The Official Video was published on Mar. 6th, 2009.

Just tell me what you've got to say to me
I've been waiting for so long to hear the truth
It comes as no surprise at all you see
So cut the crap and tell me that we're through

Now I know your heart, I know your mind
You don't even know you're bein' unkind
So much for all your highbrow Marxist ways
Just use me up and then you walk away
Boy, you can't play me that way

Well I guess what you say is true
I could never be the right kind of girl for you

I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman

When I saw my best friend yesterday
She said she never liked you from the start
Well me, I wish that I could claim the same
But you always knew you held my heart

And you're such a charming, handsome man
Now I think I finally understand
Is it in your genes? I don't know
But I'll soon find out, that's for sure
Why did you play me this way

Well I guess what you say is true
I could never be the right kind of girl for you

I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman

Well I guess what they say is true
I could never spend my life with a man like you

I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman
I could NEVER be your woman.

This song from Alt-J is called "Breezeblocks" is a song I love and so will you.......

Group and Song Facts:

∆ (pronounced Alt-J) are a British indie rock quartet, formed in 2007. Their debut album An Awesome Wave was released in May 2012 in Europe[2] and September 2012 in the United States and won the 2012 British Mercury Prize.

The name "Alt-J" is an allusion to the Greek uppercase letter delta (∆) which can be typed on Apple Mac OS X by the key sequence alt (option) + J. "Alt-J"

"Breezeblocks" is a song by British alternative indie pop quartet Alt-J (∆) from their debut studio album An Awesome Wave (2012). It is based on Maurice Sendak's picture book, Where the Wild Things Are.[1] The song was released on 18 May 2012 as the album's second single. The song was written by Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton, Gwilym Sainsbury, Thom Green, Murad Merali and produced by Charlie Andrew.

This sinister love song is a single from their debut album, An Awesome Wave and was partly inspired by Maurice Sendak's 1963 children's picture book Where The Wild Things Are. Newman explained to Interview Magazine: "The song is about liking someone who you want so much that you want to hurt yourself and them, as well. We related that idea to Where The Wild Things Are, which we all grew up reading, where in the end the beasts say 'Oh, please don't go! We'll eat you whole! We love you so!,' that they would threaten cannibalism to have that person - it's a powerful image."

Newman said to Interview Magazine regarding the song's music promo: "Our video for this track has a really different message, and yet it worked really well with the song. It's quite a weird one; people aren't sure what's going on. We liked that you might have to go back and watch it a second time to figure out what is happening."

She may contain the urge to run away
But hold her down with soggy clothes and breezeblocks
Cetirizine your fever's grip me again
Never kisses, all do you ever send are full stops, la, la, la

Do you know where the wilds things go?
They go along to take your honey, la, la, la
Break down now, weep, build up breakfast now
Let's eat my love, my love, love, love, la, la, la

Muscle to muscle and toe to toe
The fear has gripped me but here I go
My heart sinks as I jump up
Your hand grips hand as my eyes shut

Do you know where the wild things go?
They go along to take your honey, la, la, la
Break down let's sleep build up breakfast now
Let's eat my love my love, love, love, la, la, la

She bruises, coughs, she splutters pistol shots
But hold her down with soggy clothes and breezeblocks
She's morphine, queen of my vaccine
My love, my love, love, love, la, la, la

Muscle to muscle and toe to toe
The fear has gripped me but here I go
My heart sinks as I jump up
Your hand grips hand as my eyes shut

She may contain the urge to run away
But hold her down with soggy clothes and breezeblocks
Germolene, disinfect the scene my love, my love, love, love
But please don't go, I love you so, my lovely

Please don't go, please don't go
I love you so, I love you so
Please don't go, please don't go
I love you so, I love you so
Please break my heart, hey

Please don't go, please don't go
I love you so, I love you so
Please don't go, please don't go
I love you so, I love you so
Please break my heart

Please don't go, I'll eat you whole
I love you so, I love you so, I love you so
Please don't go I'll eat you whole
I love you so, I love you so, I love you so, I love you so

I'll eat you whole
I love you so, I love you so
I'll eat you whole
I love you so, I love you so

"Ocean Avenue" is a song recorded by American pop punk group Yellowcard. It was released in February 2004 as the second single from Ocean Avenue and the third track. It is known for bringing them into the mainstream, as it received numerous spins on MTV and increasing radio airplay. The name of Ocean Avenue in Jacksonville is actually Beach Boulevard. They left their original base behind when they moved to Los Angeles. The song was featured on the Much Music compilation album Big Shiny Tunes 9.

According to former guitarist Ben Harper, "Ocean Avenue" is written about Jacksonville. "It’s this place where we used to hang out in Jacksonville. Instead of talking about a girl, it’s talking about a scene and a feeling that we want to get back to: hanging out and writing, before we moved to California."[3]

There's a place off Ocean Avenue
Where I used to sit and talk with you
We were both 16 and it felt so right
Sleeping all day, staying up all night
Staying up all night

There's a place on the corner of Cherry Street
We would walk on the beach in our bare feet
We were both 18 and it felt so right
Sleeping all day, staying up all night
Staying up all night

If I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and run forever
Let your waves crash down on me and take me away

There's a piece of you that's here with me
It's everywhere I go, it's everything I see
When I sleep, I dream and it gets me by
I can make believe that you're here tonight
That you're here tonight

If I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and run forever
I know somewhere, somehow we'll be together
Let your waves crash down on me and take me away

I remember the look in your eyes
When I told you that this was goodbye
You were begging me not tonight
Not here, not now
We're looking up at the same night sky
And keep pretending the sun will not rise
Be together for one more night
Somewhere, somehow

If I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and run forever
I know somewhere, somehow we'll be together
Let your waves crash down on me and take me away.

♥ ★ ☆ ♥ SHE'S MY PUNK ROCK GIRL ♥ ☆ ★ ♥

Good day Everybody! Always bringing you the very best New Rock Music Videos available to you, right here right now on on your favorite game site, Game Desire.

This song from The Dead Milkmen is called "Punk Rock Girl" is a song I love and so will you....

Group and Song Facts:

The Dead Milkmen is an American satirical punk rock band formed in 1983 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their original lineup consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Rodney Linderman ("Rodney Anonymous"), guitarist and vocalist Joe Genaro ("Joe Jack Talcum"), bassist Dave Schulthise ("Dave Blood") and drummer Dean Sabatino ("Dean Clean").

They enjoyed international success on the strength of "Punk Rock Girl", a single.

The song, written by Joe Genaro, is a typically fast-paced, straightforward, lyrically direct Dead Milkmen number. It eschews the full-on comedic bent of most of the band's work for a slightly more narrative tone. "Punk Rock Girl" is written from the perspective of a guy who meets and subsequently explores Philadelphia with the titular punk rock girl. The pair's rebellious exploits are described in an irreverent tone, becoming increasingly over the top as the song progresses, culminating in driving away in a stolen car.

The song became something of an anthem for punk culture devotees, and gained considerable airplay on MTV. It's the band's most commercially successful release, and came just shy of charting in the Billboard Hot 100.

Joe Genaro says that fans often point out a presumed error in the line "And someone played a Beach Boys song on the jukebox, it was California Dreamin'." The song is, in fact, by The Mamas and Papas, not the Beach Boys. Genaro says that he was aware of this when he wrote the "Punk Rock Girl," but that the Beach Boys had recently released a popular cover version.

One Saturday I took a walk to Zipperhead
I met a girl there and she almost knocked me dead

Punk rock girl
Please look at me
Punk rock girl
What do you see?
Let's travel round the world
Just you and me punk rock girl
I tapped her on the shoulder
And said do you have a bell?
She looked at me and smiled and said she did not know

Punk rock girl
Give me a chance
Punk rock girl
Let's go slam dance
We'll dress like Minnie Pearl
Just you and me punk rock girl

We went to the Philly Pizza Company
And ordered some hot tea
The waitress said well no, we only have it iced
So we jumped up on the table and shouted anarchy
And someone played a Beach Boys song on the jukebox
It it was "California Dreamin"
So we started screamin'
On such a winter's day

She took me to her parents for a Sunday meal
Her father took one look at me and he began to squeal

Punk rock girl
It makes no sense
Punk rock girl
Your dad is vice president
Just like the Duke of Earl
Yeah you're for me punk rock girl

We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record shop
We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said he don't work here
We said if you don't got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin'
We got into her car away we started rollin'
I said how much you pay for this
Said nothin' man it's stolen

Punk rock girl
You look so wild
Punk rock girl
Let's have a child
We'll name her Minnie Pearl
Just you and me
Eat fudge banana swirl
Just you and me
We'll travel round the world
Just you and me
Punk rock girl
