This song from Phillip Phillips is called "Home" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

Phillip LaDon Phillips, Jr. (born September 20, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter from Leesburg, Georgia. He won the eleventh season of American Idol on May 23, 2012.[1][2][3] His coronation song "Home", released after his win, became the best selling of all coronation songs.[4][5] His debut album The World from the Side of the Moon was released on November 19, 2012.[6]
He graduated from Albany Technical College with a major in Industrial Systems Technology, but missed the graduation ceremony due to his obligations to American Idol.[14] Prior to appearing on American Idol, he worked at his family's pawn shop.
Phillips started playing music when he was 14. He was mentored by his long-time friend and brother-in-law, Benjamin Neil, whom he credited for piquing his interest in music.[15] In 2009, he formed the Phillip Phillips Band with Neil and another brother-in-law, Todd Urick, and performed in various local venues and events.[16] He won a local singing competition, "Albany Star", in 2010.[17] Phillips said his favorite singer is Jonny Lang, and other favorites include John Butler, Dave Matthews and Damien Rice,[18] and he also enjoyed Mumford & Sons and Tool.[15] He described his music as "jazz, rock alternative sound".[19]
Prior to American Idol, he also auditioned on the second season of America's Got Talent but did not make it to its finals.[20]

Phillips auditioned in Savannah, Georgia.[21] He sang "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder.[21][22] The judges then asked him to perform a second song with his guitar, and he performed Michael Jackson's "Thriller."[21][22] He advanced to the Hollywood rounds,[21] and later to the Las Vegas round.[23]

On February 23, 2012, Phillips was chosen as one of the Top 25 semi-finalists,[24] and then voted into the Top 13.[13][25] His performance style on the show has been compared to Dave Matthews, and he covered one of his songs, "The Stone", in the competition.[26] When asked about Phillips' imitation of his style, Dave Matthews said: "More power to him, I don't mind", and added "He should kick my ass, [then] maybe I can retire and he can take over my band."[27]

After the Top 13 performance night, Phillips was taken to a doctor for possible kidney stones.[28][29] He had eight surgeries while he was on Idol, and had considered quitting the show due to the pain.[30][31]

As the sole contestant who was never in jeopardy of elimination in any week of the competition, Phillips became the winner on the finale of American Idol against Jessica Sanchez after a record-breaking total of 132 million votes were cast.[32] His coronation song, "Home", was released after his performance, and had the biggest digital sales week for any Idol winner's coronation song.[33]

Hold on to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm gonna make this place your home

Settle down it'll be all clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They will fill you with fear
The trouble, it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm gonna make this place your home

Settle down it'll be all clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They will fill you with fear
The trouble, it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm gonna make this place your home.

Lzzy (lead singer) reminds me of Pat Benetar but with red hair. Halestorm was the featured artist on the cover of Origivation magazine in October 2006 and appeared on the cover of Pennsylvania Musician magazine three times (August 1999, March 2000, and February 2003). Lzzy Hale appeared on the cover of Revolver magazine along with Grace Perry from Landmine Marathon in their December 2009 edition of the "Hottest Chicks in Metal". Lzzy Hale has also been noted for her use of Gibson Guitars.[11] Arejay Hale was featured in the June 2010 issue of Modern Drummer magazine, and is endorsed by Ludwig Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Pro-Mark Drumsticks.

Siblings Arejay and Elizabeth "Lzzy" Hale have been actively writing and performing original music since 1997 when they were 10 and 13 years old, respectively. Both brother and sister started learning piano at the age of 5; Lzzy later progressed to a keytar and Arejay to the drums. Lzzy took guitar lessons at 16. The teen siblings released an EP titled Don't Mess With the Time Man in 1999. In Halestorm's earliest incarnation, Lzzy and Arejay's father Roger Hale played bass before Josh Smith joined the group in 2004. Guitarist Joe Hottinger joined in 2003.

On December 5, 2012 it was announced that the song "Love Bites...(So Do I)" was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance Category.

The album was produced by Howard Benson, who also produced the band's self-titled debut album. The song "Love Bites (So Do I)" is the first single and video from the album. The song "Here's To Us" was performed on the US television show, Glee, with clean lyrics. Four of the album's songs were previously released on the sneak-preview EP Hello, It's Mz. Hyde. A deluxe edition of the album was also released containing three bonus tracks. The song "Love Bites (And So Do I)" was nominated for a Grammy on Dec. 5, 2012[6]. In interviews about the album, Arejay Hale noted that the album was heavier than their previous album, but was significantly closer to the sound of them live.

I've been a mess since you stayed,
I've been a wreck since you changed,
Don't let me get in your way,
I miss the lies and the pain,
The fights that keep us awake-ake-ake
I'm tellin you!

I miss the bad things,
The way you hate me,
I miss the screaming,
The way that you blame me!
Miss the phone calls,
When it's your fault,
I miss the late nights,
Don't miss you at all!
I like the kick in the face,
And the things you do to me!
I love the way that it hurts!
I don't miss you, I miss the misery!

I've tried but I just can't take it,
I'd rather fight than just fake it (cause I like it
Rough),
You know that I've had enough,
I dare ya to call my bluff,
Can't take to much of a good thing
I'm tellin you!

I miss the bad things,
The way you hate me,
I miss the screaming,
The way that you blame me!
Miss the phone calls,
When it's your fault,
I miss the late nights,
Don't miss you at all!
I like the kick in the face,
And the things you do to me!
I love the way that it hurts!
I don't miss you, I miss the misery!

Just know that I'll make you hurt,
(I miss the lies and the pain what you did to me)
When you tell me you'll make it worse
(I'd rather fight all night than watch the TV)
I hate that feelin inside
You tell me how hard you'll try
But when we're at our worst
I miss the misery

I miss the bad things,
The way you hate me,
I miss the screaming,
The way that you blame me.

I miss the rough sex,
Leaves me a mess,
I miss the feeling of pains in my chest!
Miss the phone calls,
When it's your fault,
I miss the late nights,
Don't miss you at all!
I like the kick in the face,
And the things you do to me!
I love the way that it hurts!
I don't miss you, I miss the misery!

This song from P.O.D. is called "Youth Of The Nation" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

Payable on Death (stylized as P.O.D.)[4] is an American nu metal band formed in 1992. The band's line-up consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, drummer Wuv Bernardo, guitarist Marcos Curiel, and bassist Traa Daniels.[4][5][6]

They have released six major label studio albums along with two independent albums and have sold over 12 million records worldwide. Over the course of their career, the band have also received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to numerous motion picture soundtracks and toured internationally. With their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, they achieved their initial mainstream success; the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA in 2000.[6][7] Their following studio album, Satellite, continued the band's success with the singles, "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation", pushing it to go triple platinum.[7][8]

This song was inspired by the March 5, 2001 shootings at Santana High School in Santee, California. 15-year-old Charles Williams walked into school with his father's gun and fired 30 shots, killing 2 students and wounding 13 others. The shooting was remarkably close to where P.O.D. was working that day, and inspired this song. In our interview with lead singer Sonny Sandoval, he said: "When we were actually writing the record for Satellite, we were two blocks away from the Santee high school shootings. We had taken a break and went out for some coffee, and we see all the fire trucks and the police department and the helicopters and news. And we're like, something's going on. We turn on the TV and all of a sudden there's a young kid who has trapped everybody inside the school and he's shooting. Here we are, glued to the TV and we're literally two blocks away. All this is going down, and here we were supposed to write music. It kind of just set the tone for how we felt that day."
On April 20, 1999, two students at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado killed 13 people in a shooting spree at the school. P.O.D. stands for "Payable On Death," but that's a reflection of their Christian beliefs, and not a call for violence. The band spends a lot of time working with young people and trying to represent them in their music. Sonny Sandoval told us: "We had always been a touring band and we had toured through Colorado, even when Columbine had happened, and we had an awesome underground following, even of kids in Colorado. So when we toured through Colorado, some of the kids that survived the Columbine shootings put on a fund raiser, so we've always been kind of involved in that. We're hanging out with young kids, we're talking with kids, and that was one of the things that was going on when we were touring so many years ago. So it had always been something that was on our shoulders.

And then when this happened it was like wow, what's going on with these kids? And it was like here it is, these are the youth of the nation. So it just sparked that whole story."
Guitarist Marcos Curiel said of this song: "It's always been a topic on tour. I don't want to say it inspired us, but it gave us the motivation to write something. Well, when we were writing this record, we wanted to be secluded so we went to Santee, in East San Diego, where we had this 35x35 rehearsal studio. One day we were on our way to practice, and we saw all these cops, but we didn't know what was going on. Later we found out what had happened (The shooting). It was an emotional situation. The main control room in the studio has a TV, and we're watching the news on there, thinking, 'Man, this is a mess.' I'm the only one that doesn't have kids, but everybody was like, ' Dude, that could have been my kids in there,' or 'That could have been my sister.'" (thanks, Nick - Paramus, NJ)
Parts of this song were recorded very quickly after the Santee shootings. Sandoval explained in his Songfacts interview: "We had the title and we had the music. It was just this very drone like echo of this guitar. And that's just how we felt. And here we are having conversation and the title 'Youth of the Nation' came up, and then we kind of hummed out some ideas of the chorus. But the lyrics for the verses weren't written until we actually got into the studio and started to write out tracks. But I knew I was going to be telling the story of what we experienced and what happened. So it was more about this story of certain individuals, or just this kid who feels like he's lost in this world. The lyrics all came out once we were in the studio."

The Official Video was published on Oct. 26th, 2009.

Last day of the rest of my life
I wish I would have known 'cause I'd have kissed my Momma goodbye
I didn't tell her that I loved her or how much I cared or thank my
Pops for all the talks and all the wisdom he shared
Unaware I just did what I always do
Everyday the same routine before I skate off to school
But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest
Instead of takin' the test I took two to the chest

Call me blind but I didn't see it comin' and
Everybody was runnin' but I couldn't
Hear nothin except gun blast it happened so fast
I didn't really know this kid though I sat by him in class
May be this kid was reachin' out for love or
May be for a moment he forgot who he was or
May be this kid just wanted to be hugged
Whatever it was I know it's because

We are we are
(We are)
The youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are)
Youth of the nation

We are we are
(We are)
The youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are)
Youth of the nation

Little Suzzie she was only twelve
She was given the world with every chance to excel
Hang with the boys and hear the stories they tell
She might act kind a proud but no respect for herself
She finds love in all the wrong places
The same situations but different faces
Changed up her pace since her daddy left her
Too bad he never told her she deserved much better

Johnny boy always played the fool
He broke all the rules so you would think he was cool
He was never really one of the guys
No matter how hard he tried
With the thought of suicide
It's kind a hard when you ain't got no friends
He put his life to an end they might remember him then
You cross a line and there is no turnin' back
He told the world how he felt with the sound of a gat

We are we are
(We are)
The youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are)
Youth of the nation

We are we are
(We are)
The youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are)
Youth of the nation

Who's to blame for the life that tragedies claim?
No matter what you say it won't take away the pain
That I feel inside I'm tired of all the lies
Don't nobody know
Why it's the blind leadin' the blind?
Guess that's the way that the story goes
Will it ever make sense somebody's gotta know
There's gotta be more to life than this
There's got to be more to everythin' I thought exists

We are we are
The youth of the nation
We are we are
Youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are we are)
The youth of the nation
We are we are
(We are we are)
Youth of the nation

This song from Twenty One Pilots is called "Guns For Hands" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

twenty | one | pilots is a Columbus, OH schizoid pop duo. Front man Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun have earned widespread applause for their energetic live sets and distinctive fusion of piano-driven schizoid pop and lyrical uplift. No strangers to the road, Twenty One Pilots has built a fervent national following via their electrifying live performances. The band signed with Fueled By Ramen in early 2012 and made its label debut with a new EP titled Three Songs released on July 17, 2012. On January 8th, 2013 their debut album on Fueled By Ramen titled "Vessel" was released.

Band Name Meaning

Ok so, I (Tyler) was in theatre class and we were studying a play called "All My Sons" written by Arthur Miller in the 40's. It was about a father who ran a company that provided parts for airplanes used in WWII. He then found out that his parts were faulty, so he comes to a moral crossroads:1. He can take the parts back and not send them out, but he will lose a lot of money in a financially tough situation. He would also taint his business and his name and be known as 'unreliable' in his trade. But this would ultimately be the 'right' thing to do. or,2. send the parts out, make the necessary money to provide for his family, not taint his name, etc. He ends up sending the parts out and twenty one pilots died because of it. His son was a pilot in the war who had lost his life. There was no evidence to prove that it was directly related but his daughter blamed her father for her brother's death. He ended up committing suicide at the end of the play. Here's how we make it relevant: I feel like we are all constantly encountering moral crossroads where the decisions that benefit the "now" will have consequences down the road; but the decision that might seem tough and tolling right away will ultimately be more rewarding. What is our purpose for playing music? We are constantly asking ourselves that question. The answer can change all the time, but for right now we are just going to stick with something as simple as "we want to make people think."

I know what you think in the morning
When the sun shines on the ground
And shows what you have done
It shows where your mind has gone.

And you swear to your parents
That it will never happen again
I know, I know what that means
I know

That you all have guns
And you never put the safety on
And you all have plans

To take it, don't take it.

I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
But I can't, but I can't when you all have
Guns for hands, yeah.

I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
But I can't, but I can't when you all have
Guns for hands, yeah.

Let's take this one second at a time
Let's take this one song, this one rhyme
Together, let's breathe
Together, to the beat

But there's hope out the window
So that's where we'll go
Let's go outside and all join hands
But until then you'll never understand

That you all have guns
And you never put the safety on
And you all have plans
To take it, don't take it
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
But I can't, but I can't when you all have
Guns for hands, yeah.

We've turned our hands to guns, trade in our thumbs for ammunition,
I must forewarn you, of my disorder, or my condition,
'Cause when the sun sets, it upsets what's left of my invested interest,
Interested in putting my fingers to my head,
The solution is, I see a whole room of these mutant kids,
Fused at the wrist, I simply tell them they should shoot at this,
Simply suggest my chest and this confused music, it's,
Obviously best for them to turn their guns to a fist.

I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
But I can't, but I can't,
When you all have
Guns for hands, yeah.

I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep
But I can't, but I can't,
When you all have
Guns for hands, yeah..

This song from Rome is called "Seasons" is a song I love and so will you............

Group and Song Facts:

Roman René Ramírez[1] (born June 11, 1988[2] in Fremont, California[3]), better known as Rome Ramirez or simply Rome,[4] is an American singer and guitarist currently playing with Josh Freese[5] and Eric Wilson from Sublime in a new venture.[6] Despite the supposed "reunion," the family of deceased Sublime member Bradley Nowell legally challenged the use of the Sublime name by the surviving members.[7] Nowell actually registered the trademark "Sublime" under his own name prior to his death and had sole ownership. The lineup featuring Rome, Wilson and Freese currently perform together as Sublime with Rome and released their debut album Yours Truly on July 12, 2011.

Rome co-wrote the song "Lay Me Down" with The Dirty Heads and is featured in the song singing the chorus.

Ramirez was born and raised in Fremont, California. Both of his parents are of Mexican heritage, his mother being from Guadalajara and his father's parents from Tijuana, but his father from Oakland.[8] He first started playing guitar at age 11, and one of the first songs he learned was a Sublime song. He met through Lewis Richards, owner of 17th Street Recording Studio; who subsequently asked him if he wanted to "jam".[9] He collaborated with Eric Wilson of Sublime on video on RAWsession (also at 17th Street Recording Studio) where he played Sublime songs such as "Saw Red" and "Boss DJ", and eventually began to play with the two remaining members. The trio then went on tour together playing covers of original Sublime material. Rome continues to play individually, but the focus remains on Sublime with Rome.

Rome has said in interviews that his influences are Sublime, Muse, Jimi Hendrix, Bad Brains, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys and Primus.[10][11]

Rome's debut solo single, "Dedication," was premiered on the Rolling Stone website May 30, 2012. "The song's about loving someone who is struggling with getting their life together and eventually having to move on," says Rome. "It's probably some of the most personal stuff I've put in a song. Sometimes all you need is the right people to pull the best out of you, and that's what I feel happened with the three of us. The right individuals, at the right place and time." His debut EP was released on June 12, 2012.[12]

These days lovers change like the seasons
Come and go, hot to cold for no reason
I don't want to be stuck here while our summer starts to fade
Baby cuz it's bad for me
You know that you're bad for me

Let's go

I don't care, I don't mind
Because I know another birdie will fly by
So I sit back and I get high
And pour me some Jack to clear my mind

Is it that bad, I don't feel bad?
Cuz I found a hotter b*tch that makes her own
cash
And when she goes and you know
I'll find another chica that will top
that

Don't blame me when it changes for no reason
Don't blame me when we have to start again

These days lovers change like the seasons
Come and go, hot to cold for no reason
I don't want to be stuck here while our summer starts to fade
Baby cuz it's bad for me
You know that you're bad for me

I'm drinking and I'm thinking
About those times that I don't want to remember
Because in my mind it was July
But she's so cold, she's so cold like December
All you are to me is just an X on my calendar
baby
All you are to me, another X on my calendar baby

These days lovers change like the seasons
Come and go, hot to cold for no reason
I don't want to be stuck here while our summer starts to fade
Baby cuz it's bad for me
You know that you're bad for me

(Cuz lovers change like the seasons)

These days lovers change like the
seasons
Come and go, hot to cold for no reason
I don't want to be stuck here while our summer starts to fade
Baby cuz it's bad for me
You know that you're bad for me

(Cuz lovers change like the seasons)

These days lovers change like the seasons
Come and go, hot to cold for no
reason
I don't want to be stuck here while our summer starts to fade
Baby cuz it's bad for me
You know that you're bad for me.
